Electromagnetic Oddities by Reese West KQ6TT

Some time back I wrote about the E-field not being continuous in radiated fields.  I had been taught that they were.  Recently, I returned to that idea to take a look at it.  Remember that all I write is not of published quality.  It is stream of thought as I think about it.  Also, most is just first draft quality in writing.  So, here I have returned to take a look at radiated fields.

Let us look at a radio frequency field radiated from an antenna.  Visualize the globe of the earth with latitude and longitude lines on it.  Place a very short antenna at the center of the globe with the antenna orientated on a line between the poles.  The E-field then radiates outward toward the surface of the globe just like the longitude lines.  The magnetic fields radiate outward like the latitude lines.

If we chose a point on the surface of the globe and examine it, we find that the field strengths are proportional to the length of the latitude line on the globe.   The magnetic lines go all the way around the globe as continuous lines with a constant strength at a given latitude, but lower in value as we progress to the poles.  The E-field lines go lower in value as we progress toward the poles, and go to zero at the poles.  So, the magnetic lines are of constant, continuous value, but the E-fields change value and go to zero.

Well, that is all beautiful.  However, it is an incomplete visualization.  The mathematical theory fits all the data and is extremely useful.  It is not at all what is really happening.  Choose a field with a one hundred meter wave length.  All these fields are composed of photons; individual packets of energy.  There could be billions of them composing a field.  We are looking at the action of the sum of individual bits of energy.  When these little bits hit a receiving antenna, they individually transfer energy to free electrons and cause them to move.  We now have a field with perhaps a wave length of one hundred meters transferring energy to an electron of absolutely microscopic size.  This is what I call a change of state.  Water heated to steam is a change of state with a change in effective size of about one thousand.  We have here a change in size of tremendous ratio.  This does not bother the physicist.  They have math that fits so they are done.  They think they understand it.  They don’t.

What is the size of the photon?  There has been something like two hundred years since the double slit experiments with no real efforts to examine what is really available for study.  Give the problem to some engineers to vary all the dimensions available in order to examine what goes through the slits and what is rejected.  The wavelength of the photon is in its length in time in the direction of propagation.  How wide is it?  How high is it?  Yeah.  I know that I have antagonized thousands of scientists.  Well, do the damn work.

I say that the photon propagates as an interface wave.  It interacts with our four-space for guidance and sometimes reacts with it.  When the scientists put a detector in one of the slots, they are amazed that the photon interacts with it.  I am not going to go further into that.  Just remember that size does not exist in my ‘No Time No Space’ (NTNS) hypothesis.

One of the accepted laws in physics is that energy cannot be created or destroyed.  Our concept of time had to have a start; a beginning.  Therefore, energy existed in some form where there is no time.   i.e. NTNS.  And where does an atomic energy particle go at the end of its lifetime?  NTNS.  I could write that NTNS is basically the ‘ether’.   Doing that would not have let me start without preconceived ideas and associations.

If all I have written is wrong, at least it starts in a new direction on unsolved problems.  Just criticizing is not sufficient.  One must offer initial alternate data or direction for answers.  I will accept being right with part of the ideas.
