VCARC Portable Radio Operations and Help Session and ARRL Ham Radio Open House 2025!
The Ventura County Amateur Radio Club will be hosting an ARRL Ham Radio Open House on Saturday April 19th from 11:00am until 2:00pm at Grace Lutheran Church 6190 Telephone Rd Ventura 93003.
Our club will have folks setting up and operating radios, antennas, and power systems with the intent to communicate with other stations across the US and internationally. The timing of this event is centered around World Amateur Radio Day.
If you wanted to know what ham radio is about or wanted to see it in action, stop by. If you’re already a ham and have questions about your rig, local repeaters, or how to get back into the hobby, please come and visit and we’ll help you out. Lastly, we hold license testing at this same facility every other month – stop by and ask us about license testing and how to prepare.
You will find us in the back picnic area next to the parking lot.
Thank you!

Get on the air and see who you can hear! A good way for Technicians to participate on HF as they are allowed a small slice of 10M.

Also check Groups.io or your email as I will try and send out frequency changes during the net.Lastly: To help with coordination, please tune to 147.515 Mhz simplex! This will allow us to let each other know if we moved to another frequency, or if band conditions are poor and we want to try a different band.
