KD6ASL – Mark

The 3 photos show the latest updates to my “ham shack” and my vertical HF antenna.  Starting from the left I have:

  • Anytone 578UVIII Plus Tri Band UHF/VHF/220 (plus aviation) DMR Mobile radio
  • Yaesu FT-710AESS HF rig witha 10” video display able it, a trackball mouse, and a Yaesu MD-100A8 Dynamic Desk Microphone
  • HP (low budget) laptop to run various Ham Radio software.  It’s connected to the FT-710 for rig control
  • MFJ 4-Position Antenna Switch mounted on the wall
  • Newest addition:  Inovato Quadra PC (behind the laptop-$49) displaying HamClock on a 16.1” Full HD 1080P Computer Monitor($70)
  • Antennas:  HyGain AV-640 HF Multiband vertical and a TBJ-1 tri-band VHF/UHF/220 antenna

If anyone would like more information on the devices or setup, contact Mark, KD6ASL

ps – there is a mini-keyboard for the Quadra, Bluetooth mouse for the laptop, and a GPS antenna for the Anytone 578 velcro’d to a cabinet door  which amazingly it works indoors in my garage.

Obviously I’ve got a lot of cleanup to do to make more room, and I really need to figure out a better power supply to run all these devices too.
